Managing Director and Lead Coach - Alan Jones
Alan is modest. He doesn't use the string of letters he could after his name, but he's a doctor (PhD), teacher, Master NLP trainer, and trainer of trainers... He's got an impressive track record in delivering transformative personal development courses, within education, to private clients and latterly to the business community.
He's now full trained in VEO by Elizabeth Jones and a member of Equity and The Voice Care Network. Alan's vision for the business is to make VEO the first choice voice training partnership in the UK raising standards of oral communication, starting in the South West.
Alan's something of a magician in the way he works with honing thinking skills, swiftly identifying hidden unhelpful habits and making them disappear! With a philanthropic heart, a musician's head and using 'mind' magic to make learning easier and more entertaining, Alan's a larger than life character! He also has a lifelong commitment to helping kids who 'the system' fails. He and his partner own VEO, having bought it from me, Elizabeth Jones in the Autumn of 2008.

I'm happiest when working with words (particularly the written kind), which is why I'm the 'voice' on this page.
I've spent over a decade helping directors successfully float their companies or face their shareholders. Two of the greatest voice teachers in the country 'the late Dr Frances MacCurtain, PhD, MA, MCSLT and Christina Shewell, MA, MCSLT, ADVS taught me.
Having relocated to Cornwall and realised that I did not want to run a full-time voice coaching business, I talked to Alan, who I'd met at a Business League breakfast, recognising he had the integrity and rare intuitive ability required to deliver in this specialist field.
After six months training and refining the VEO courses, the business is Alan's. Nevertheless, I am delighted to retain a coaching and advisory role whilst also enjoying the time to pursue my creative activities - see www.beyondrelating.com
Speech and Language Therapist
We’re grateful to have an ‘SLT’ to whom we can refer any clients, if necessary (through client’s own GP or dentist). All our coaches are familiar with the GRBAS scheme of analysis for the disordered voice. We do not work with clients who measure with GRBAS grade 2 or 3 – recognising the need for specialist care with those presenting a disordered voice.
